Huda Jadallah is a Palestinian lesbian born and raised in the SF bay area. She has been a queer Arab organizer, activist, and scholar for many years. Huda sat her first vipassana retreat in 1997 where she realized she was pregnant. She couldn’t say a word since it was a ten day silent retreat! Huda has been a member of the Spirit Rock Meditation Center (SRMC) Family Program Council for seven years and has been a member of its diversity subcommittee since its inception. She is also a member of the SRMC Diversity Working Committee. She is a graduate of the Commit2Dharma-4 program at EBMC and is currently in the Community Dharma Leader-5 Training Program through SRMC. Huda lives in Oakland, CA with her wife, Deanna, their three children, Omar, Hady, and Hind, and their cat, Peaches.
